Acrylic paint on weathered, repurposed, cedar shingles.  These shingles have been exposed to 100 years of  natures love.  Whether it be rain, snow, heat from the sun it all lent a hand in creating the amazing texture on the wood.  When I discovered this material I was amazed on its beauty and the new canvas was born.  I take advantage of all of its character and leave as much of the shape of the piece as possible.  A lot of this wood came from my 1880's Georgian style home here in Missouri.

Repurpose. seeing the beauty in something old and worn and giving it new life.
